People who reject God often tell me the reason they refuse to worship Him is because of things like innocent babies getting sick and dying. They don't understand why a good God would allow babies to die. It seems like a noble stance, but it reveals lack of knowledge about God's nature and purpose for us.
Sometimes the most basic of principles can get transformed into something very complicated. Such is the case with life and it's meaning. It is simple, yet people have made it very complicated, trying to twist it into something it's not.
We were created by Yahweh, our God. He gave us free will and we make choices every day. If we choose good, we receive goodness in return. If we choose evil, we receive even more evil. We reap what we sow - and then some.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
(Ephesians 6:1-3)
Yahweh wanted us all (His children) to live long lives on the earth He created for us. His warned us that greed, selfishness, lawlessness, and other sins would bring death and ultimately the extinction of the human race. Yet rebelliousness, disobedience, and greed has increased and has brought much evil upon us. Our food and water supplies are contaminated with chemicals and pollutants, causing cancer and other diseases and when people die, they blame Yahweh. Drilling and mining are causing earthquakes, the frogs and bees (necessary for almost all living things), fish and many other species are dying from pollution, and the world is filled so much pain and destruction it's hard to keep up with it all.
Selfishness and lust combined has led to millions of unwanted pregnancies and millions of abortions, yet some people refuse to worship Him because innocent (wanted) babies sometimes get sick and die. Any loss of life is tragic, but why should He save one and not the other millions we are killing? Do you realize that as of today, March 19, 2017, the world has aborted 8.8 million babies this year alone? (Source) We are only about 78 days into the year! That's over 112,820 babies we are allowing to be killed PER DAY and we expect Him to answer our prayers to save the innocent ones?
If people had obeyed Him, the earth would be in much better condition. We could have created a paradise on earth, but instead we allowed evil to destroy our precious gifts from Yahweh and it is so rampant today that people are outwardly worshipping Satan and every other abomination. They are openly cursing God and blaspheming our Saviour. Woe to them - or anyone approving of their behavior. God's wrath is coming and our only hope at this point is Salvation through His Son, Yahushua Messiah, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. We look forward to the promise of a new heaven and a new earth. May His wrath and revealing of the true nature of evil draw you closer, into the saving grace of Christ before it is too late. Overcome evil and live!
